Purps Place Review: Tommy Gunz- The 21 Gun Salute

Whats good yall. This ya boy, the one, the only Mista Purp. Been a while since I posted here, been busy as fuck with all these projects but its been even longer since I put up one of my drug induced Purps Place Review so as im writing this, I am eating a total of 4 liberty caps and rollin 2 blunts. Now lets spark this first one and get started on reviewing "The 21 Gun Salute" by my Psyko South homie Tommy Gunz.

1) Greatest Hits Intro- Lovin this Psykotik infomercial and to be honest if this greatest hits album were real i'd buy it and bump it lol. Funny shit mane! Definately not an intro to skip 10/10

2) War Zone- Love the piano kickin this off with the pizzi leading in. "God save a niggas soul cuz i'm prayin for help, got me walkin in the valley of the shadow of death, i don't fear no man so i'm takin whats left, we in a battle with police and at we at war with ourself" I absolutely love that hook!!! Sick fuckin flow by Tommy in this track. Some real hard bumpin street shit right here with great production! 10/10

3) In the Heat of the Night featuring Big Rela and Squire Zama- Love the hook on this track, don't knw who it is but hot shit. Rela kicks the track off with that wickid shit as usual with his confidence and presence on a track it makes anything a banger. Tommy takes verse 2. Tommy has that voice, lyrical content and flow that just screams "Florida Hustle" to me, I love this shit. Squire takes the 3rd with some intense emotion in this one. One of my favorite verses I ever heard from Zama. Good shit, my one complaint of this track is the first bars of the hook beat wise can take away with all 3 of these ending their verses with such intesity to have it hit the brakes when the hook first comes just isn't me, the beat picks up on the hook on bars 5-8, woulda maybe  kept the mood going strong if the structure of the hook was flipped. Otherwise its a real dope track. 7.5/10

4) The Drop- Definately a club banger right here. The type of track that just makes you wanna stomp on the fuckin ground. Sick wordplay and the same intense mic presence from Tommy on this one. "Roll his ass up and smoke a nigga like a dime sack", I fuckin love that bar right there. 9/10

5) My Rifle featuring Soulja C- Tommy with a more laid back sound on this one but im feelin it with the wordplay. The full metal jacket reference in the hook is fucking epic!!! 2nd is Soulja with his first 2 bars screwed leading in adds a nice touch to the track. Soulja kills it like always on this one. 9/10

6) Scarred featuring La Vonna- Beat has a nice feel to it similar to War Zone with the sine. La Vonna kills the hook on this one. More real street shit on this one. This my hood banger right here. 10/10

7) Screwed Up Skit- What can I say? I love skits about Purp(wink, wink) lol 10/10

8) That Purple- Ohhhhhweeeee, lovin this beat and hook, my favorite track off the cd so far. Real laid back flow by Tommy with a flanger tied in there. Just listening to this track got me leaning. To keep this one short and sweet, just bump this track and sip that purp! 10/10

9) Why You Wanna Play featuring La Vonna- Nice laid back beat here.Tommy killin it on this one. Sounds like something they should bump on the radio. La Vonna lays her best hook of the album on this track. These two definately have good chemistry, especially on this beat. 10/10

10) To The Bone featuring Soulja C and Vice Gripp- Love the sample in this track. Soulja C kills it to start the track, he fits real well on this beat. Next is Tommy killin it like always in what siunds like a certified strip club anthem. Next is Vice for the first time on this cd and he makes up for the lack of appearences on the earlier track. he straight rips the beat. Awesome production and the sample goes perfect with the track. One of my favorites on the album. 9.5/10

11) Don't Touch My Liquor featuring Soulja C- Club banger!!! Soulja C straight murkin the beat in the first verse. Tommy's vocals in the 2nd verse sound more crisp on this track with a sick verse. This ones a banger! 8.5/10

12) Spun A Web- Beautiful beat and sample here. Tommy gettin deep in this track. I love it. And the delayed claps add a real nice emotional touch to this. Real sad emotional track. 10/10

13) I want the world(Fuck the world) featuring Soulja C and Vice Gripp- The beat pumps me da fuck up. Some buck shit here with a real sick hook! Tommy comin in on this track with more intensity than usual straight murkin the beat. Soulja C comes in on the second verse bringin so much confidence into the track you can't help but vibe to it. Vice slaughtering the track yet again bringin an already awesome track to another level. Crazy track 10/10

14) Thinking into the night featuring La Vonna- Epic sample to open the track on this one!!! Sick fuckin beat here!!! This is on some cold shit. Tommy bringing some of his best lyrical content on the whole album. The choir on the beat just adds to he feeling. La Vonna killin the hook again, not really feelin the fx on her voice but it don't take away from track a all. My #1 favorite track on this record. 10/10

15) See it in my eyes featuring Soulja C- I'm a sucker for bells on beats so im feelin this right away with Soulja C fuckin straight killin it. Tommy with some clever and sick wordplay on this one. He really got me vibin to this one. Classic track 9.5/10

16) Unstoppable featuring Vice Gripp- This track feels like its structured perfectly. Tommy straight killin it with the beat setting the perfect mood to the track. Vice gripp adding the mood givin an even more upbeat feel to it putting the icing on the cake. Love this track. 10/10

17) The dark dedication interlude- I fucking love this beat, its perfectly dark with that creepy piano melody and the background strings. The cello giving the track a chilling vibe. Creepy goodness! 10/10

18) 21 Gun salute- Tommy straight rippin from the start! Amazing lyrical content on this track with great word play and rising intensity throughout the track. Just a straight 3 minute flow, perfect way to close out the album. 10/10

Overall- Great production, not overly saturated with features, just the right amount of them. Florida needs more artists like Tommy Gunz. He brings that real street shit to the table, not that fake garbage that you hear these days. Great cd, more than worth the money and the better part is that it's free!!! Check out www.psykosouth.com for more Tommy Gunz news or show him some love on HIS FACEBOOK . This record gets a 10/10

Til next time. Be safe everyone

R.I.P. Tre-8

The hip hop community has lost one of New Orleans' legends in Tre-8.

Walter McCallon, 37, also known as Tre-8 died in a hospital after a car  accident on Tullis and Woodland drives in Louisiana. His daughter, two nieces, a nephew and the mother of his children were in the car with him at the time, and are all in the hospital.

McCallon attended L.B. Landry and O. Perry Walker high schools on the West Bank. He played in both schools' marching bands, experimenting with snare, tenor drum, French horn and trumpet, but found his real musical calling in hip-hop.
In his early teens, McCallon became a backup dancer for Bennett, the rapper and producer known as Ice Mike, who produced early New Orleans hip-hop artists including Bust Down and Joe Blakk. At Bennett's home studio, he learned engineering and production skills that led him to work producing tracks for the West Bank indie label Slaughterhouse Records while still in high school.
McCallon recorded his first songs as a teenage rapper alongside Tim Smooth as a member of the group Westbank Coalition in 1993. At 16, he became one of the first artists signed to Master P's newly minted No Limit records label. His debut (and only release) for No Limit, "Ghetto Stories," came out in 1995, characterized by his signature raspy vocals and exaggerated horror-movie and gangsta themes cut with a dark sense of humor.
After his departure from No Limit, he continued to produce other artists and record his own material for local independent outfits like South Coast Music Group and his own imprints, Smoke 1 Records and Purple Haze Prodctions.
In March 2011, he released "Black & Purple" with the group Dem Haze Boyz, his first album since 2008's "Most Underrated."

Purps Place Review: Instant Legend- The All In Good Time EP

Yep, it's time for another review. Today we're gonna review Instant Legend's "The All In Good Time" Ep while i eat these liberty caps and smoke this spliff so lets get started.

1) All In Good Time- The beat draws me in right away, has a good soulful sound to it. Like something you'd hear The Isley Bros on. Legend's flow is real on point in the first verse, good lyricism and has a nice old school sound to it. The first time I heard the song I did'nt like the hook at all but as you listen to this track more and more, you'll catch yourself singing the hook lol. Second verse is pretty good, I honestly liked the first verse better but still, good lyricism by Legend. Third verse catches my attention the most on the lyrical tip. Good track 8/10

2) The Tape Worm Vortex- Nice upbeat sounding production on this one but Legends flow is what really pulls you into this track. Some good lyricism again on this track. Catchy chorus on this one as well. A little too short though, would've liked to hear more on this one. 7/10

3) Save Me- The intro of this one drags on a little bit but once Legend comes in he pulled me into the track, beat sounds very deep as well as the lyrics. Legend really makes you feel for him on this one. Beautiful song 10/10

4) West Coast Depression- Nice laid back west coast feel on this track hence the name lol. In my opinion Legend really shines flow wise on this track. Definately a hypnotizing head bobbing track hear. The gangsta whine is also a real nice touch to this track. Good Shit 9/10

5) The Page- Ok, just so you all know, im gonna be a little biased on this track because im a sucker for orchestral type beat. Beautiful sounding beat and Legend shows alot more confidence on this track. Great flow, catchy hook and again, beautiful beat. 9/10

6) Waiting- The acoustic and electric guitars go nice on this track as well as the higer pitched hook. The first verse on this track is my favorite on the whole Ep besides "Save Me". Another beautiful track. 9/10

Overall, "The All In Good Time EP" is great find. Some great production as well as some very good lyricism on Legend's part. This records a must buy. 8/10

Make sure you purchase Instant Legend- The All In Good Time EP at http://www.instantlegend.bandcamp.com/ and also check out Instant Legends entry for the first official Purps Place Freestyle Contest. So far he's dominating the polls. Until next time. Be safe everyone

Purps Place Album Review: Vice Gripp- OutLaw Music

So I been at the studio since 8pm, its now 5:53am. I came here with 2 ounces of Blue Dream, a pint of purple and some shrooms for inspiration. Ima take a break, enjoy my high and review “OutLaw Music” from Psyko South artist and [dead] P.o.e.t.s. own Vice Gripp. Before I get started I wanna remind you all that [dead] P.o.e.t.s. Guts N Glory tour begins this Friday April 8th in Ft Lauderdale at Area 7 and you can count on seeing me there to support the best thing to happen to Florida hip hop. So lets roll up another one, add a lil something to my sprite and check out this album.

1)OutLaw Music- The sample on this intro and the beat just sounds epic! Vice Gripp comes in with his sick fast flow and this track is just sounding epic right now lol. Sick hook just adds the icing to this track. Vice just has this presence on any track he’s on that just can’t be compared to anything, he’s on another level. Perfect way to kick this record off. 10/10

2)Slick Talkin ft Soulja C and Tommy Gunz- Beat slightly reminds me of “Knuck if you buck”. Slower flower by Vice in the beginning of the track before speeding it up, I cant get enough of that flow. Sick hook to back it up. Next up is Soulja C. I became a big Soulja fan after hearing him on “Scumbag Original”. I actually enjoying the verse better than the first. A type of track that’s just getting better and better as it progresses. Next is Tommy Gunz, Tommy’s a veteran of the Miami scene and he doesn’t disappoint on this track. He’s got a unique sound. He’s also got a great mixtape on www.PsykoSouth.com yall need to download now. 9/10

3)Keep it Wickit- Real hyped up type of track. A good club banger. That fast slow shines again on this one along with a real catchy hook. This is the type of track that just makes me wanna knock the shit outta some bitch ass nigga. Again he shows a mic presence that just cant be touched. Cant wait to see him live on Friday. Great track 9/10

4)Losin My Mind ft Hopsin-
A creepy sounding banger. A more slowed down verse by Vice but it flows perfect on this beat. I don’t know who produced this track, im gonna guess Hopsin cuz it sounds similar to some of his other tracks. Hopsin takes the 3rd verse on this one and he delivers. Classic Hopsin sound, flow and lyrical content. Another awesome track. 9/10

5)Go Hard or Go Home ft Leezy and D Cinn-
“When I went to write this verse I grabbed a lighter instead of pen, welcome to the Psyko South yeah this is where the menace begins” that line definitely sets the mode for this track. Vice’s fast flow really reminds me of some old Tommy Wright, or K Rock. Nice epic sounding beat with a good hook to back it up. Leezy takes the 2nd verse. My first time hearing him but I like his sound, he kinda falls out of beat once or twice though. Next is D Cinn outta Memphis. I like his sound, nice presence, flow on point and good lyricism. Another sick track 8.5/10

6)Under City Lights- Nice 90’s vibe to this track with a more old school flow. Showing some good versatility on this one and you cant go wrong when you’re shouting out the late and great Pimp C. Awesome fucking track, just wished it was longer 10/10

7)Contemplatin Homicide ft Big Rela and That Dude Jasper- This track has a nice Detroit sound to it and when the verse starts the beat has a nice switch up. That switch up along with Vice Gripps flow definitely got me leaning hard right now. Big Rela up next, as expected he impresses with his verse and a little extra confidence on this track, my favorite verse of the track. That Dude Jasper has a nice flow, definitely something different that what you usually hear. 9/10

8)I Am- Love the horns on this beat. Definitely a horror crunk sound like Vice says. I’d love to see a music video to this track. Definitely a fun track. 9/10 (Sorry the song reviews seem shorter right now but im gone right now and im just vibin and enjoying the cd lol)

9)Letter to My Enemies ft Mr. Rage- Oh shit, a real creepy sound to this track, lovin it lol. Vice just lyrically tearin people up on this track. Real sick verse from Rage that fits perfectly to the vibe of this track. Sick fucking flow from Vice and Rage and an awesome fuckin beat. 10/10

10)Natural Born Hustlahz feat Soulja C, Tommy Gunz- Beat has that hood anthem feel to it with a nice sample for the hook. Track a nice feel to it. Soulja C kicks it off and really keeps that vibe. Dyin to find out when Soulja C’s droppin a tape. Tommy Gunz is 2nd, his verse reminds me of “Scumbag Anthem” off of “Scumbag Original“. Sick flow by Tommy Gunz. Next is Vice and while the other verses were great his verse puts the others to shame with his flow. Awesome track 10/10

11)Backdraft (Who Aint Got Lyrics)- Starts with samples of various interviews on the state of hip hop. Again some sick horns in this beat with the finger snaps and a catchy hook. Amazing first verse to this one that definitely shows why Psyko South is dominating Florida right now in the underground. All you new rappers need to listen to this track and take notes. 10/10

12)Clap Me ft Czar- I just don’t know how to explain it. This track is just awesome. The beat gives it an awesome feel and with Vice’s fast flow it just pushes it to an epic level. This is gonna be a song I bump in my Lincoln for a long time and the use of Gross beat on this track just sounds incredible. Czar takes the 3rd verse. Never heard him before but I gotta admit he’s good but not as good as some of the other features. He doesn’t take anything away from the track though. Incredible track 10/10

13)Happy Ending ft J.M. Blakk- I like the pad in the beginning of the track. Tracks got a nice laid back feel with Vice Gripp and JM Blakk trading bars throughout the track, something you just don’t hear anymore. I wish more people did tracks like this. it’s the type of track that’s really letting me enjoy these shrooms right now. 10/10

14)Never Surrender feat Squire Zama, Lindon Ramsey- Oh shit I love the 8 bit sound in the very beginning of the track and with the singing in the hook it kinda reminds me of Big Moe(RIP). Squire Zama has a real sick verse in the track, the lisp just adds more personality to his sound. Vice Gripp with that sick fast flow in the second verse. This sounds like a track you’d hear in a movie. Pure fire 10/10

15)So Many Dead and Gone- Really feelin the guitars in this beat. A great RIP track with a sick flows and great lyricism from vice especially the 3rd verse. One of my favorite track off the cd next to Never surrender. 10/10

16)Wake Up Dead ft Big Rela- The final song on this record. Awesome bluesy guitar on this track with a real laid back beat. A different song from Vice but just as good as everything else if not better. Reminds me of something off of Everlast’s first album. The hook by Big Rela actually hypnotizes me lol. A real deep sounding track. 10/10

Overall this is a definate must have!!! 10/10. Another amazing record out of the Psyko South camp. Great production, perfect arrangement, and amazing flow from Vice Gripp. Mark my words, within a year Psyko South is gonna blow the fuck up and they deserve it. These guys have been putting in work for 10 years and their time is long overdue. Dont sleep on this record or anything out of the Psyko South camp. Purps Place Album Review: Big Rela- Scumbag Original: The Gospel Of Rela

In honor of the [dead] P.o.e.t.s. “Guts n Glory” kicking off April 8th in Ft Lauderdale, I’ll be reviewing “Scumbag Original: The Gospel of Rela” by [dead] P.o.e.t.s. own Big Rela. If you’re looking for a detailed summary then get the fuck out of here. This is my opinion of the album song by song while im blowing on an ounce of the Purple Urkel.

1) Tha New Testament by Mars- Horrorcore superstar Mars delivers a testament to Big Rela in this humorous intro with a lines like “I’ve seen this nigga try to smoke pop rocks out of a glass pipe… And still blow out a big ass cloud” Lol. In my opinion a great intro 10/10

2) Gather Round Me- Rela kicks the album off in style on this laid back beat. Maybe it’s just the weed but this track really has a hypnotizing feel to it and the lyrics are a nice breath of fresh air compared to all the usual trap music out there nowadays. Great way to kick off this album. 9/10

3) Scumbag Anthem ft Mr. Rage, Tommy Gunz and JM Blakk- This track lives up to its name. Definitely a hood anthem. Tommy Gunz kicks it off with a hard ass verse making his presence felt on the track. JM Blakk is up next with a great flow that really gets your head bobbing to the track. Rela up next with what is the hardest verse of the track. I’m supposed to be writing as I listen to this album but I’ve replayed this track 3 times already so I gotta give it a 10/10

4) Soy La Mierda ft Dislocated Boner- Real nice beat to this one!!! For those of you who don’t understand Spanish, soy la mierda translates to “I’m the shit” and the hook makes that clear for all of you. Again, sick flow by Rela. Dislocated Boner takes the second verse with a solid verse. Might be ear fatigue but it sounds like he falls off beat once or twice during his part. Otherwise, good track. 7.5/10

5) Neck Snap Muzik- Many people consider this track to be a diss to SKR and Sicktanick, I wont say if it is or not, you can take it how you want to take it. If I were to take it as a diss track then I gotta say he killed them in this track. Like he says “If you go against the poets, you go against the best”. He kills the fucking track and the Mike Tyson sample is the icing on the cake. 10/10

6) Serial Killas ft Mars, Kung Fu Vampire, Grewsum, Vice Gripp, and J Reno- The horrorcore song of the year for 2010 voted by fans and you can tell why if you listen to it. Mars kicks off the trackm great verse, style almost takes me back to some old school shit then Rela comes in with fire ass flow before Vice Gripp comes in, I just hoped Vice had a longer part in this track. This track got me hyped the fuck up lol. Kung Fu Vampire next with a sick verse and that’s coming from someone who’s not much of a KFV fan. Grewsum and has pretty sick verse in here but it doesn’t stick out as much as the others. Still good though. J Reno spit’s a really solid verse on here. Great track with Rela, Mars and Kung Fu Vampire shining the most. 10/10

7) 4HeavenSake Interlude- Nice beat on this one, im really diggin the piano with 4HeavenSake speaking on Rela. Not much to rate here but based on the beat ill give it a 9/10

8) Risky Business ft Dyce, Sixx Shoota and Soulja C- Real nice beat with a sick hook who I think is Sixx Shoota, I may be wrong, I‘m ripped.. First verse I’m fuckin loving it. Rela taking the second verse with a nice fast flow. Im always a sucker for fast flows. Third verse is Soulja C who just takes the track over the edge with another sick verse. This track is straight heat! So far one of my favorite tracks off the record. 10/10

9) Tha Shit Im On- Nice old school sounding beat got me leaning right away. It’s beats like this where I think Rela shines the most with his lyricism. Nice scratches on the track as well. This track don’t fall off at all. 10/10

10) Everybody is a Killa ft Squire Zama- This was the first track that got leaked of “Scumbag Original” with a beat that really reminds me of some thing off of “Wu Tang Forever”. Lyricism on point as usual putting the fakes in their place. Rela goes harder than usual on this sick track. Squire Zama has a sick verse on this on it too although it is short but he gets his point across. 9/10

11) Touch The Sky ft Vice Gripp and Dashius Clay- Im already fucked up but for this track I had to break the Codeine to get me leaning a little more. Another type of beat you’d hear on “Wu Tang Forever”. This track got me real hypnotized lol. Great verse by Rela. Vice Gripp really shines with his flow on this track though. The first time I heard this track was the first time I heard Dashius Clay and it made me an instant fan. Great flow by all 3 with a great hook. 10/10

12) Neva Know ft Soulja C and Killuh Trakz- A real mesmerizing beat on this one with Soulja C kicking off the track. Again great verse by him. The record really made me a Soulja C fan, he almost reminds me of a young C Murder. He also spit’s a great hook. Rela really shines with his verse on this. Its my first time hearing Killuh Trakz and he doesn’t disappoint, nice flow and lyrics on point. Good track. 9/10

13) Out of Time- Personally this is my favorite track off the album. We get to see a different side of Rela on this very heartfelt track. Dedicated to the memory of Shannon Lee Parra with the being sung by Angelica Juliano. An all around beautiful emotional track. If this track doesn’t make you shed a tear then something is seriously wrong with you. 20/10

Overall this record is an instant classic and to top it off it’s a free record that definitely could sell plenty units if it was sold. Great album, cant wait to finally hear Front Toward Enemy and cant wait for Rela’s next solo project. 10/10.

You can download Scumbag Original for free at Psyko South's Official Website

I wanna give a shout out to the whole Psyko South camp and everyone else who was involved in making this amazing record. Tomorrow ill be continuing this promo for [dead] P.o.e.t.s. by reviewing Vice Gripps most recent record “Outlaw Music”. Till then everyone, be safe.

Purps Place Review: G.O.A.T.- 1 Nite(I can make ya chick a pornstar)

Another track I got in my email this time by G.O.A.T. Soooo here we go.

Tracks got that classic laid back type of crunk beat but G.O.A.T.'s flow really makes the track shine. Definately a shake junt type of track. I really like this dudes flow and confidence. This track really has some radio potential. Flow that never falls off point during the track with a screwed hook. Expect to hear some more bangers from G.O.A.T. 8.5/10

Make sure you all follow G.O.A.T. on twitter @CashCountyGoat

Purps Place Review: Rob D, HOT TOPIK 258, and KB- I Told Yah

I got this lil treat in my email last night through a follower on Twitter @IamRobD so lets review "I Told Yah"...

First and mainly I gotta say this beat takes me back to the heyday of No Limit's production by KLC and Mo B Dick. That classic 90's Louisiana flavor. First verse is Hot Topik 258. I personally like him, he's got that mic presence that pulls you into the track and his confidence shows in his voice. Very solid flow and lyrics, almost reminds me of a young Mac. Second verse is KB, not as good as Hot Topik but still stands out besides falling off beat once or twice he still delivers a very good verse. Third is Rob D, the flanger effects on his vocals add a nice touch to this song with a nice flow to back it up. Looking forward to hearing more from him.

Overall i'm really feeling this track, with the flows, hook and production it really takes me back to when I would bump No Limit records in the house. I wish there was more music like this out there. 9/10

Purps Place Album Review: Gucci Mane- Return of Mr. Zone 6

BURR!!! Gucci's back with "Return of Mr Zone 6". The album artwork featuring the now notorious Burr Ice Cream Cone Tat. We're gonna take a look at Gucci Mane's latest effort that was almost entirely produced by Drumma Boy.

1: "24 Hours"- "I'm up 24 hours, money and the power, stuntin on da hoes and im shittin on da cowards" Is the line that kicks off this album along with some nice creepy bells. This Drumma Boy produced track is good start to this album with some real solid flow by Gucci. 8/10

2: "Mouth Full of Golds" ft Birdman- Another Drumma Boy produced track. Gucci starts this one off with a faster flow than usual which is a nice compliment to the beat along with better lyricism compared to his previous albums and mixtapes. Birdman comes with a decent flow on this one even though the lyrical content is nothing out of the norm for him but a decent verse that compliments the track. Nothing special about the hook of this track which get very repititive. "Rich ass nigga with a mouth full of gold" repeated over and over. Other than that a pretty decent track. 7.5/10

3: "This is What I Do" ft Waka Flocka Flame and OJ Da Juiceman- So far this track is my favorite with a hard beat, a catchy hook and solid verses from all the 1017 Bricksquad members. Again Gucci shows some improved lyricism. I may have a biased opinion of Waka conidering that im a big fan so i'll just say he didnt disappoint me on this one. A very similar flow to "O Lets Do It" by him. Some of the usual lyrical content by OJ on this one but he never fails to catch my attention in his track. In my opinion one of the most underated artists outta ATL. This is one of the best tracks on the album thus far. 9/10

4: "Reckless" ft Cap and Chill Will- A decent verse by Gucci kicks this one off but definately not one of his best. Cap reminds me alot of DG Yola with of voice and flow. Very good verse by him that leaves me wanting to hear him more. Chill Will delivers a pretty good verse, nothing out of this world but he's pretty good. The hook on this track gets very repetitive. Cap and Chill Will really save an underwhelming attempt by Gucci on this track. 7.5/10(Thanks to the features more than anything)

5: "Shout Out to My Set" ft Wooh da Kid- Wooh da Kid kicks off this track with a very solid verse. My first time hearing him but his verse is leaving me wanting to look for more of his tracks. A good verse by Gucci on this one. Definately better than his verse on the previous track. A very solid track here with a great beat. 8/10

6: "I don't Love Her" ft Rocko and Webbie- The first track i heard off this album in the club. I honestly love this song. Great beat led by an old organ. Great flow by Gucci as well as improvement on lyrical content compares to previous efforts. I've never been a Rocko fan but he was added a nice touch to an already good track. Webbie delivers a great verse like he usually does, adding that Lousiana feel to the track with his flow. Great song! 9/10

7: "Better Baby"- Gucci's first solo song since the opening track of the album. Noticed how he delivers better hooks on his solo tracks. Very solid beat by Drumma Boy that Gucci compliments with a great flow on this one along with that improved lyricism. 9/10

8: "Brinks" ft Master P- The beat to this track instantly pulls me in along with the Master P feature. One of my favorites off the album. Great verse by Gucci along with a catchy hook. Nice to see P back with a verse that I can compare to his Glory days in No Limit ala Mr Ice Cream Man. If P does more tracks like this on his new album it could be the first album I buy from him since "Da Last Don". Excellent track!!! 9.5/10(Catch the chopped and Screwed version of this track on my new mixtape "Kush and Codeine" Dropping this Saturday on Dat Piff and That Crack!)

9: "Pretty Bitches" ft Wale- Autotuned Gucci! Lol. Never though I'd say that. Don't sound bad but he shouldn't do it again. A very solid track that has definate mainstream appeal. Nice to hear Gucci really switch it up. The recent Maybach Music Group signee Wale delivers a great verse on this track. I really love this guys flow. Expect Wale to do some real big things in his career. 9/10

10: "Pancakes" ft Waka Flocka Flame and 8 Ball- This beat pulls me in like a fuckin magnet. A definate hood anthem here. Sick ass verse from Gucci to kick this one off along with one of the catchiest hooks of the album. Again a great verse from Waka, really compliments an already sick track. The legend 8 Ball brings his trademark flow to this anthem. Definately the icing on the cake. Best song off the album 10/10

11: "Hell Yeah" ft Slim Dunkin- Great upbeat track with a catchy hook. Great hyped up enthusiastic flow by Gucci on this one. Very impressive verse by Slim Dunkin here, very confident flow here that compliments the track. 8.5/10

12: "My Year"- Autotuned Gucci again! This song takes a very different direction than everything else on the album. Very strong mainstream appeal on this one. Expect to eventually hear this Drumma Boy produced track on the radio. Pretty good track for a mainstream sound. 8/10

13: "Trick or Treat" ft Slim Dunkin, Wooh da Kid and Waka Flocka Flame- Nice guitars kick off this beat which leads into a nice catchy hook. Nice flow by Gucci on this track similar to off of "Back to da Trap House". Another very impressive verse delivered by Slim Dunkin. Wooh da Kid brings a nice touch to this track with a flow very similar to something you'd hear from Wale. Sick fast flow from Waka on this one. He's never been a very lyrical artist but he knows how to hype up the fans. 10/10

Overall it's a great album by Gucci. This was a record that worried people due to the troubles he's had lately but instead of completely flopping he delivers a record with excellent production, improved lyricism and flow and some great features. Even for those who hated Gucci's previous work, I implore you to check out "Return of Mr. Zone 6" definately a big improvement. 8.5/10 Overall
